A landing page is the first page the visitor in the facebook page sees. Without a landing page the default landing page is the wall but I wanted a static page that stays always the same with some picture and a welcome text.
Step 1: Install Static HTML iFrame Tabs:
click here to get the Static HTML application installed. Just click on the blue button that says "Add static HTML to a page" and follow the instruction. You will be asked to choose the page you want this application added to from a list of your facebook pages ( I have 3)
A new menu item is than added to the menu on the left in your facebook page. It is called "welcome"
Step 2: Enter content in you landing page
The content must be a HTML code. I write HTML content myself. but if you don't here is a very simple way: write in a new post in your blog the landing page including the images you want on the page and then click on Edit Html. I am sure other blogs have a similar option to view the code as well. Copy the code and paste it in the landing page content area and save.
Step 3: Make the welcome page a landing page
When you view the info page click on the button "Edit page" (on the top right corner)
Choose Manage permissions from the menu on the left. Look for Default Landing Tab. You can now choose from the pull-dowm menu the page "welcome" you just added.
This is my landing page, It is very simple for the first time because I wanted to create something very quickly. It is just one image.
