First I get an idea and than I look for a way to work it out. That is how it went this time too. I had the idea of quilting a circle in every cross. Every circle with a thread in the color of the cross. That is a lot of thread changing...
I found a round dish exactly the size of the circle that I needed and drawn circles on a A4 sticker. Thank cut the circles and stick them on the fabric. I used 6 stickers and at the end they didn't stick anymore.
I used green fleece for the backing and no batting because the fleece is soft and warm as it is.


At the end the back looked like this:

And the whole blanket after binding it this weekend (binding, yet another thing to the list of things-you-can-do-while-breastfeeding) is already in use at the moment while Shaun takes a nap in the baby carriage.
