God bless the Internet

I love learning new things and although I would like to take a curse or workshop I don't really have the time nor someone I trust to "baby sit" my son.. that is why I am so grateful for the Internet! you can learn anything here!
I thought it was about time for a new patchwork lesson. I picked one magazine that my mother sent me. It is German and I don't read German... but I liked this wall-patchwork on the left page:


I've got some help from this instructive video that I came cross in one patchwork forum.



I think I did very wel for the first time curved patchwork.

Hearted

Yesterday my "purple swamp" clutch made it to the front page of Etsy thanks to Lirola!

Many people hearted me and my clutches and it was a wonderful morning.
From the comments on my own treasury I learned that it has also made it to the front at 3 a.m...


And Lirola's gorgeous pleated black tube dress was in it too! we can call it even

It was a nice day at home so I could finally got the chance to work with my needle felting machine.. It makes a bit noise so I don't want to use it when my son sleeps..
I made some hearts on key chains but don't know yet how to put my signature on it.

I was so busy with these hearts, chosing scraps, felting, beading etc. that I didn't even notice everything turned white outside...
It is snowing again

Let the sunshine in

I finished the "walking on the beach" clutch already a week ago but it is so frustrating lately: there isn't enough light to take photo's and if by accident there is: I sit at work...
But today the sun was shining for a little while and I manage to take just photo's of this clutch and the other clutch I also finished was already too dark...
I wish it was spring again!


I really like the feeling of cheering someone up so when I read in Sassy Glass Designs' blog that she received a message she was in someone's treasury and was not because they mistaken her shop with someone else's I edited my last treasury and replaced one item with her last creation! Just to make her feel better (and I love her jewelry and pedants!!) but then she wrote about it today in her blog *blush*

The seaweed is always greener
In somebody else's lake

But that is a big mistake

Under the sea/ the little mermaid

I continue exploring what else can I put on my clutches to create textures and a story. This time I thought : water, sand, palm tree, stones, metal findings in the sand...
Walking on the beach was so nice and the air was cool and salty that I had to send my readers a postcard!


The water was also clear and blue, you could see the paths that the fish left behind and (gem)stones at the bottom


And here is a first photo of my sewing table.. the begining of the mess



It is such an upgrade to have all my things in one room and not to have to collect my things when we need the table for dinner! Just leave everything there for the next time...
