In my last post I wondered and wished for advise about how to tell a little boy of 3.5 years old that grandma's dog is gone. I've received some excellent advice , here in my blog and also from the community girlfriends.
But Apparently I was the one having troubles with the subject. My son hasn't.
I began really cautious "Denzel, next weekend we'll go to the camping but Benji will not be going with us, Do you know why?"
"Benji is with the other dogs" he said very self assured.
"Which other dogs?"
"The other dogs, his friends and they give him kisses. he is happy"
A few days later John told him that Benji is in dogs-heaven.
"Benji doesn't have pain anymore and he can walk good" he tried to comfort our son.
"And he has all his teeth back" Denzel comforted his father.
What a smart and sensitive child I have!

On Sunday, like other mothers around the globe I too have received a present from my child. He painted a coffee cup for mother's day! he had to keep it a secret the whol weekend but when I wanted to put the present in my bag he said "NO!! it is a glass, it can break"

Your little boy is a very smart one, and he gave you the proof that he understand much more than you think, like most kids... :-)
Anyway, good that he takes benji's death so well.
Wow, he is a smart little boy isn't he. And so sweet that he's comforting you both!
definitely!!! kids reason through things on their own and if they have a question they'll ask!!!
